How It All Began
They say New York City has a way of bringing people together, and for us, it did just that. Andy, originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, moved to the Big Apple chasing a dream — little did he know it wouldn’t be musical theater that changed his life, but Travis. Meanwhile, Travis had traded sunny Tustin, California, for the energy of Manhattan, tasked with launching a new office for his company. Little did he know, Andy would be the one to ground him in the city’s hustle and bustle, bringing balance, laughter, and heart into the chaos.
For a while, we lived our lives separately, each building our own stories in a city that never slows down. Then Hinge gave fate a little push. Our first date was a breakfast meet-up — Andy was dragged out of bed — and yet it felt effortless, like we had known each other forever. That very evening, Travis asked Andy out again, and from that moment on, something just clicked.
Since then, our story has stretched far beyond the streets of New York. Together, we’ve wandered through Spain, Portugal, France, England, Mexico, and beyond. We’ve built a home in Austin, TX, where laughter, travel, and family dinners anchor us as much as our adventures do.
What we love most is how we bring out the best in each other — allowing one another to be individuals while becoming stronger together. We each have our quirks, and instead of smoothing them away, we celebrate them. They’re what make “us” uniquely ours.
And so, from NYC rooftops to castles in Ireland, our story continues — with even more travels, family time, and maybe one day, a family of our own.
XOXO,
Andy + Travis
Our Engagement
Cozumel, Thanksgiving, and a little rainstorm — the perfect recipe for a story we’ll never forget. What Andy didn’t know was that Travis had been plotting this moment for months. He even went full Downton Abbey and drafted a scroll to Andy’s parents asking for their blessing (yes, a literal scroll).
Fast forward to Cozumel: one rainy afternoon at a beach club, the skies opened up and Travis lured Andy down to a viewpoint, dropped to one knee, and popped the question. Andy blacked out (in the best way possible), but luckily managed to say yes.
Moments later, family and best friends — Tom, Alexander, and Paul — came running down to celebrate. And just when Andy thought the surprises were over, his parents appeared, having secretly flown in to join the moment.
From scrolls to surprise parents to champagne in the rain… it was perfect. And now, the adventure continues!
